When it comes to jewelry, there are many different materials available. Two of the most popular are titanium and surgical steel . Both materials are strong and durable, but there are some distinct differences between them. In this blog post, we'll delve deeper into the key differences between titanium and surgical steel, so you can make a more informed decision about which material is right for you.
What is titanium?
Titanium is one of the strongest metals on earth. It's also extremely light, so it's often used in aerospace engineering. For jewelry, titanium is highly resistant to scratches and dents. It's also hypoallergenic and nickel-free, making it an excellent choice for people with nickel allergies . Because titanium is so strong, it's often used in wedding rings and other jewelry designed to last a lifetime.

One of the biggest advantages of titanium jewelry is its lightweight and comfortable nature. It's an excellent choice for those who prefer a piece of jewelry that won't weigh them down.
-
Hypoallergenic

Although surgical steel is resistant to corrosion, it is not completely immune. If exposed to corrosive elements for extended periods, it can tarnish and discolor.
-
Heavier
Compared to titanium , surgical steel can be heavy, which may not be suitable for those who prefer lightweight jewelry.
What's best for jewelry: titanium or surgical steel?

Beste Anouk,
